New Security Features Provide Added Protection

DUCA’s Online Banking website features new security enhancements to better protect you online.

Multiple Account Holders/ Joint Accounts

Our previous system utilized one login code to view all information attached to an account and multiple account holders used the same login. The new system offers each person on the account to have his or her own login credentials.

 Here is what you need to know:

  • The current login information will be assigned to the first person listed on the account
  • Each person listed on an account is required to create a login
  • Contact your branch and they will be happy to assist you with creating a login

Registered Products

In the past registered plans such as RRSP, RRIF and LIF were viewed by everyone on the account. We have enhanced this function to protect your privacy; plans will be only be viewable by the contract holder online. As the contract holder you have the option to assign “viewer” permissions to another account holder, allowing the additional members on your account to view all plans related to that account.

Here is what you need to know:

  • Logins are assigned to the first person listed on the account and only the first person’s registered plans will be displayed
  • To view additional account holders’ registered plans, new logins must be created for each individual or “viewer” permissions must be set
  • Please contact your branch to create a login or set “viewer” permissions

Passwords

The importance of picking a good, secure password can't be emphasized enough. The simpler a password format is, the easier it is for someone to figure out. We have enhanced our password capabilities with more complex options available to you.

Here is what you need to know:

  • Passwords can now be up to 15 characters in length
  • Should contain a combination of numbers, letters and special characters
  • Passwords are not case specific
